Miscarriages of Justice Support Service (MJS)
Run by the Royal Courts of Justice Citizens Advice Bureau, the MJS is funded by the Ministry of Justice to provide practical aftercare support for victims of miscarriages of justice. It also provides advice and assistance to people whose cases have been reviewed by the Criminal Cases Review Commission and referred to the Court of Appeal for a re-hearing, or to people pursuing their own ‘Out of Time’ Appeal.

Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC)
The CCRC is a statutory body set up to investigate possible miscarriages of justice in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and make referrals to the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) if there is a ‘real possibility’ that they will be overturned.
